President and Founder
Betty Van Gerpen founded Menders, Inc. in 1985. As a Registered Nurse with Graduate Degrees in Gerontology and Adult Education, she has dedicated her life to providing care and services that enhance the lives of older adults. Betty's innovation and leadership through decades of service have not only improved industry standards, but also the lives of families in her own community. Collaborating with other leaders in the healthcare industry, she has established home care protocols, assisted living standards and caregiver training regimens for Menders that are nationally respected and modeled throughout the industry.
DIRECTOR OF HOMECARE SERVICES
Kathy Lange is an integral member of the Menders leadership team. She joined Menders in 1987 as a Registered Nurse who communicates with clients and caregivers daily. Kathy has made amazing contributions to Menders' success. Her experience and tailored approach make her an expert in the field, especially in assessing a client's needs and partnering with families to create the right care plan to meet their requirements. Her dedication to gerontology and the care of older adults is evident from her knowledge and through her gentle and caring demeanor.
CLIENT SERVICE COORDINATOR
Anne Albino, a seasoned Registered Nurse, has been with the Menders leadership team since 2006. She is instrumental to the nursing team. Her experience and knowledge of older adults make her an excellent resource to our caregivers. Anne specializes in monitoring the status of each client and communicating regularly with caregivers to ensure that Mender's quality of care is second to none. Her dedicated attention to each caregiver and each client creates a high sense of ownership for our employees and the service we provide.
Julia Johnson makes all the inner wheels of Menders turn. Having mastered the art of matching the right caregiver with the right client every week as our Scheduling Coordinator, she works closely with our nursing team. Julia started as a Certified Nurse Assistant, providing client care for Menders in 2009. Her experience as a caregiver makes her uniquely knowledgeable and qualified to create and maintain effective schedules. Julia further takes a customer service-driven approach with caregivers and clients. Scheduling challenges are readily solved by Julia's rapid response and around-the-clock work ethic.
